But I haven\'t got the present from my boyfriend yet, and I\'m just dying to know what it is, since he\'s been working on it a long time, but has been very secretiv about it.

Don\'t keep your hopes up because my present for you sucks.

As for the list, allow to just copy he post because I have already posted that in several other forums and it gets old :D

Well, they\'re already up in the sky. You told me so often you had not time \'cause you had to work on my present, it better be worth it.

It isn\'t.

Yeah, check out Advance Wars 1 & 2 and Mario & Luigi: Superstar saga, all of them are great.

Also Sword of Mana and the Metroid series. Castlevanie - Aria of Sorrow is also great if you like Castlevania - it\'s more of an action adventure than a Jump and Run now.

Why didn\'t you wait and get a DS? It plays GBA games too, has a far better screen and the headphone jack is standard (I have been told, never actually saw a DS in my life).

The DS has a headphone jack, yessiree.. I played one the other day and just wow.. all that stuff in such a small package
IMO it\'s worth waiting for.
Although one small con, unlike the GBA the DS can\'t play original Gameboy games.

I couldn\'t afford a pressie, i went home to visit the folks instead....

Spending time with the family is better than all the pressies put together. Enjoy the rest of christmas and have a great new year!

I most certainly am! It\'s also doing wonders for my productivity, expect another mini by me up some time today...after I come back from the obligatory visit to gran that is.

i agree with Joshua, I have both Advance wars and AWII(black hole), and both games are pretty much identical, except for the extra units in II. Onlt get the first one if it\'s eithger dead cheap, or you can\'t get enough of the game...that was my curse....

Let\'s see:

- a new computer (that I stole from my job, since the company is closing - pretty old computer too, but better than the one I had)
- a new cellphone (not very good, unfortunately)
- a horrible pair of girafe head shaped slippers (I\'m using them right now!)
- a shirt
- a shaving machine (doesn\'t work for me, I\'m afraid)
- a box for my paints (now there\'s a great gift!)
- Risk, the board game (with new rules, I liked the old ones better...)
- the Shrek DVD collection
- and probably the best gift, the possibility of having one of my friends to start painting miniatures! I offered him a box with nine paints, a couple of brushes, a half dozen minis and a \"painting guide\" that I wrote myself.
He already called me saying that he was very excited to start painting, and I\'m keeping my fingers crossed!

Fun thread, by the way.

Hmm, wasn\'t it a bit silly buying a GBA SP right as the DS came out? While the GBA just added a slightly better screen more buttons, the DS is in full 3D. In any case, I\'d recommend the Castlevania series, as well as all the re-released mario games. Also, if you want something light and easy to pick up, grab the Wario Ware games :)
