So what\'s in a name ...

frenchkid

New member
Well frenchkid is one of the nick names I had when I was at school in the US. Actually frenchy came up more often but I like to see myself as a big kid so frenhc kid it is. Plus it gives people an instant excuse for my bad spelling
As for the avatar, you have to thank bacca for it :D she though it would fit well after seeing a splendid pic of my with donkey ears, and I also liked the movie and must confesse I\'m a bit like that donkey (well the chatty part of him anyway).

Klute

New member
Klute is a mis spelled form of Cloot which is ancient sort of Celtic for a devil or imp or such.
I used to be klute in the valute(snailshell) but shortened it when we were allowed.

My real name is Mark.My middle name is William.
Exciting eh:(

Im thinking of changing my avatar again.

22 is my real name, but it always seemed to be taken so I just stuck some random letters in front of it.

My avatar is an old picture of SuperVike I found laying aound. I started using it in honor of him creating the \"WA\" thread.:D

sniffles

New member
Yes, my name really and truly is Sniffles. ;)

Sniffles is my favorite Warner Brothers cartoon character. He only appeared in 6 cartoons, but he\'s adorable.

I don\'t think anyone would say I\'m like him - although I do tend to run off at the mouth occasionally.

I just really think he\'s cute. :D

Zora

New member
Zora was a character I created for an RPG a LONG time ago, that has since made it into different RPGs since and was just a great character.

Imagine my surprise after naming my character that I find Ral Partha had a figure with the same name!:flip: So it was a natural to buy it and paint it.

This also became somewhere around the beginning of my painting life. So yes, a LOOOOONNNGGG time ago.

Medved

New member
My on screen name means \"Bear\" (as the thing that poos in the woods) in Slovakian (my other language, and russian too as Margo pointed out when we met at GD). My wife gave it to me and it is a bit like when couples call each other honey and so forth. my full version is Chlpaty Medved (fuzzy bear because of lack of shaving regularly)
i have another internet name which means Little pencil sharpener, (struhatko) this came about because one of my friends is dyslexic and was trying to spell my name (stuart) . the \"ko\" ending on most slavic words incidentily means \"little\". eg Ivanko (little Ivan)

Well... I simply came to think of my painting (and severel other) skills of... well, not actually underdeveloped, but more ... \" Godlike but humble \" Kinda gives a pic of my self-esteem, huh? ;)

The avatar just goes to show that I share a certain Chrispy\'s fancy of a certain Manga/Anime... right, he did it first... so sue me:p

Erik Arkham is my stagename from when I was a singer or bassist in various bands. The Arkham portion was derived from H.P. Lovecraft, while Erik is my real name.

In \'98, I started working for an online company as a computer programmer. Since our chief exchange of information occurred online via chat form, and there was already an Eric and an Erik on staff, I used my highschool nickname Kep. Though I\'m no longer active at that company, the name has stuck ever since -- it\'s now fairly random as to whether in any given situation I\'ll introduce myself as Erik or as Kep. :)

I chose mine when I started out freelancing, it\'s the name I gave to the website for it too.

One day I hope to register it as a trademark and sue many millions of ebayers! lol lol

The avatar comes mostly from the fact I didn\'t like any of the others cmon had to offer :)

I blame my parents.. both for the name and a certain resemblance to the $60 billion dollar man... :p

P
Bob took too long to spell?
Another cool name could be Presssciousss
,but the hiss sound and s placement could make for trickiness

Primeval

New member
Primeval means ancient, and is also a synonym for several barbaric words (a look at my gallery should explain the appeal). But I have been thinking of changing my name (again).

My username is just my initials I\'m afraid. Not very interesting I know. But I bet nobody nobody knows where my sig comes from (i\'d have a heart attack if anyone did as it is truly hideously obscure)
