Squirrels... (can\' find a baby pic though but I held and fed one I found many years ago...fed wih an eye dropper until animal care could arrive..sooooooo adorable)

Cheetas

A female cheeta at the National Zoo in Washington DC (near me) just recently had a litter of 5 cubs. They were first viewable by the public Saturday and I went to see them Sunday. They are soooo cute!
These aren\'t those cheetas, but they are cute baby cheeta pics anyway:

And they stay cute as adolescents and become absolutely gorgeous as adults - unfortunately they are one of the most endangered animals on the planet:

Okay, I confess I sort of pushed it with the cheeta cubs, but even as a baby it\'s hard to call an elephant the cutest \"small animal.\"

Its nice to know where that line is...Besides, to BIG elephants that little cutey is small..

Well, I just had to look up \"small\" in dictionary, and the first definition reads, \"comparatively little in size; not large\" .
Comparatively? so the baby elephant is small compared to adult elephants so it still qualifies.

Okay, so I forgot people had posted polar bears and pandas.
I guess if you compare to the adult of the species, all babies are small. (except Orkans - while Jonathan Winters may be cuter that Robin Williams, he\'s also much bigger)
So maybe this should be cutest \"baby\" animal.
We could do another thread for cutest adult animal.

A good friend of mine is a state-licensed animal rescuer; this is one that I helped her rescue when we found it at the park:

Around here the cutest animals are the baby hyenas - sorry I aint got a picture folks, but the mama and papa hyenas aint that cute or friendly.
