Hi there, I\'m trying to get better results with my figures so I\'d like some good soul to answer a few questions I\'m having trouble with.
I\'m sure they\'ve been asked a thousand times so my apologies that you have to repeat yourselves once more... If you could even provide me a link it would be greatly appreciated....

1- What is the best way to make snow on the bases?

2- What is the best way for making battle damaged effects and rust on warjacks, dreadnougts, tanks...

3 - I also have troubles with Gold. I\'m working with GW paints with metal paints. I\'d prefer non MNM tuto.. But I\'ll take any help.

Thanks very much people

Experimenting with different stuff for snow, the one I have found looks the most realistic and best is a mix of Bicarbonate of soda (sold as natron in Denmark), PVA and water – experiment with the thickness of the paste. You’ll have to make sure your PVA goes clear when it dries, as some of it goes yellow and that will make the snow look like the floor in your local pub Saturday night. Paint white where you want the snow to go and put on plenty of the paste as it shrinks a bit when it dries. Finish by sprinkle a thin layer of the powder on top and leave to dry. You can also varnish this without it goes yellow. I have several snow bases made this way in the gallery if you want to have a look.

If your using GW paints try a wash of chestnut ink over the gold then highlight with gold, up to silver
:D
The main problem I have with metalics is they dont photograph well, in my case lol

Best of luck
