Hola,

still learning to paint. Promised to make my friend a wolfen army for her birthday, I\'m only about one year due but it\'s coming along, slowly... only four warriors to paint and I\'m done, woo! :bouncy:

Anyhow, here\'s what I\'ve painted so far. Nothing too fancy, want to get these fellows painted until her next birthday. Comments are appreciated, nevertheless. :)

Great job. I voted on them and left a left a comment on the Sacred Vestal. You are a great friend, and I\'m sure it\'s going to be a great army.

Voted on all of them and all I can say is Good Job. I like all of them, with the Sacred Vestal being my favorite. The skin tones, NMM, all of it is wonderful. The Skin on the Repentant figure seems a little rough, and Irix just didn\'t appeal to me. That figure seemed a little flat and the NMM didn\'t pop out at me. On top of all that, I really feel like the peices would benefit from some dynamic basing. But, since your painting an army of them, I\'m impressed with what you done so far. Good Job.

I voted on all of them! There are some photo issues with dark and slightly unfocused pictures, but the painting seems to be of high quality. I especially like the sacred vestal.

Cheers,

Voted on all of them, they all look good :)

In order to get better scores, first thing is base them. It makes a big differance to the score.

And as Ritual said, the pictures are letting them down.

Still good though :D

Thanks for comments, all!

I would have based them but didn\'t know what kind of bases she wanted :( That\'s the next project, though.

I decided to try yellowish gold this time, usually I use VMC goldbrown or green ochre as base, this time it was yellow something. And I agree, it just looks wrong.

I\'ve had lots of problems taking pics, so I\'m still learning. Next I\'ll try picking up some extra lights and making a proper gradient paper for the background, maybe even building a smallish lightbox. Irix\'s pic is very blurry, I\'ll try to take new pics as soon as I can manage.

The skin on the repentant is a bit rough, I agree. I should have paid more attention, tried using couple of glazes to smoothen it up a bit but it is still a bit rough. In the end I simply decided that repainting the skin would take too much time and went on to paint the rest of my wolfen.

I\'d love to try making them fluffy but that\'d be a bit too time consuming as well. Maybe when I have some more time to spend on a single wolfen mini.

these all look very solid paintjobs, but some of the pictures are too dark to judge the mini\'s correctly.

I think your nmm gold is very good, especially on \'Irix the sibyl\' . Can I ask what colours did you use for that?

Thanks. I used VMC Green Ochre, highlighted towards VMC Offwhite, shaded with VMC Dark Sea Blue. IIRC. :)

I\'ll try to take better pics, I\'m just in a hurry, so... Thanks for comments, nevertheless!
