I've been off coolmini for a while due to school. I do still want to be painting miniatures though, so I thought I'd start a WIP... Yeah I know I have other WIPs already going but.... I wanted to paint some orks. Anyways, the idea behind this is that I want to paint up a small playable force of orks to a high standard. I picked up the stormboyz set at gamesday as I really like the way they look. I'm currently in my senior year of high school, so I have a lot of non mini related things to be doing, mainly finishing my portfolio for art school and various other college application related things. For this reason, I can't update this very much. Maybe once or twice every couple weeks. Here's where I'm at so far:

I've only done any substantial work on the face as you can see.
Any thoughts so far?

Well hey. Right when I make some more progress, I go and break my damn camera. I did some blending on the red armor, but pics will have to wait until my cameras fixed...

I think the face is pretty cool, I really like its colour and the blending on it. It really looks good to me.

Awesome thanks. I'll probably have more updates on the weekend. I've made some more progress, but not enough to be worth posting.

Digging the skintone, maybe a little more work on the arms though. Face looks great! Loving the pose too, should look pretty badass when it's finished =D
