Just noticed that a miniature I left a comment on has been deleted from that persons account.

It seem Scibor cant take negative feedbacklol

Is his ego that fragile?

I know for a fact that if I had left a positive comment it wouldn\'t have been removed.

It was a elf Lord mini that had been \'pressed\' into existance. And was very badly finished, when it popped up on my screen I was shocked that I felt compelled to leave a comment.

Personally I think people shuld not be allowed to delete minis from their account without permission from an admin, as there are people that sell their stuff on the back of their cmon scores. If this had been me, I would have left the mini up, and taken on board what that person said.

Sorry for the rant but it gets my goat when all people want, is for you to blow smoke up their backside.

I saw that comment and it was more than fair - the mini in question was utter cack. I\'d have been far less diplomatic (hence me leaving no comment!)

TBH the guy churns stuff out these days and doesn\'t seem to care about his \'conversions\' - shoddy workmanship abounds. He\'s doing some decent busts and larger stuff though. Reckon he should stick with that, it\'s much more creative and much better produced.

I agree, the recent pieces the ones \"for collectors withour rights for production\" have been utter cack, even when not pressmolded they have been soft, undetailed and IMHO ugly. The only thing I have liked about them are the faces

See if someone left a comment saying \"Sorry man this is quite cack\" I\'d rejoyce in the fact it wasn\'t \"completely cack\"... I\'d probably reward myself with a biscuit.

Scibor isn\'t the only prominent person on this site who cannot take criticism. I\'ve not seen him make personal attacks on those who don\'t polish his arse with SuperShine though. Quite unlike some people.

Well, I have to say this does seem to border on a \'personal\' attack, which is something I think I should be moderating.

Scibor can be a very controversial topic, but I think comments should be directed towards his \'art\' and less towards his person.

I agree whole heartedly with \'Vikey.
There is a line we do not expect people to cross and this is just too close.

Why do you care? They\'re just toy soldiers. If the guy wants to delete his images, let him. If it\'s because he\'s a sore loser, that is its own punishment, IMO. Maybe there\'s another reason. Requiring an admin\'s permission to remove posts would be a royal pain and would only add to their workload.

Remember we all have different sensitivity levels. What might be good harted banter to one may be cruel and hartless critism to another.

I\'ve not seen the figure or the comments so cannot judge, but I present here because it is a safe place to show my works.

I don\'t discourage critism, so long as its constructive and remembers we all have fealings.

I\'ll shut up now.

I would assume that a piece with negative feedback that was being sold would get pulled so that the problem could be corrected and more accurately displayed. Or that pictures on ebay were linked back to here. That is not being weak, but better salesmanship.

Negative comments aren\'t exactly a good selling reference. If he was using it for an ebay sale, then it made good sense to remove it as he could do nothing about the comment....

Just to clear up the \'moderation\' of Scibors comments.

There are many comments that come on his items that do not get included. If they are particularly cruel, personally attacking, etc. they do not pass.

BUT, that being said, harsh criticism, as long as it is about the piece, is accepted.

Just on a personal note, i never could figure out what was so terrible about his work. It seems to flat out piss people off, I\'m assuming because he makes a mint out of it. Who cares? Don\'t like it, don\'t buy it. It\'s simple. Some claim he is \'cheating\' by using a stamping tool...but that makes absolutely no sense.

I have no problem with using press molds or stamps and so on. They\'re just different ways of achieving the goal of producing minis. I think one problem people have is that he was accused at one point of making molds from GW parts (mainly heads) and using those in conversions and such which he then sold. I\'ve no idea if that\'s true or if it\'s ever been resolved.

Well... you\'d definitely get an answer on frothers - whether it\'s honest or not is another subject entirely :p

I haven\'t got a problem with Scibor\'s stuff. I didn\'t see this one so can\'t comment!
