Its a personal attack to say a thief is a thief?

Exhibit A Here he says he did indeed use pressmoulded Games Workshop Terminator heads, but they were only for personal use

Exhibit B. However as this auction clearly states, the head is moulded from a GW Terminator head and the piece was then sold for $310. Indeed, all of these minis bear the same description, have the same head and all sold for at least $200 in one case being as much as $400.

Exhibit C. In this thread Scibor claims to have sculpted some Polish World War 2 soldiers. However compare the quality of the sculpting on the heads and face to the rest of the mini. If he can sculpt faces so crisply then why oh why cant he put a decent edge on fabric folds or pockets? Then compare the heads to these. What an amazing coinkydink.

If you compare the \"sketches\" with the pics of the finished mini, they line up near enough exactly, too exact for him to have drawn it first and then sculpted from it. Either he \'shops the pics or draws them after the mini is finished.

@Swordwind. Nice range of heads on that Hornet page. Do you know (or anyone else for that matter) any company that does a range of heads like that or similar for 28mm scale? I\'ve got a Grey Knight Grandmaster I\'ll be converting at some point and I\'m doing a head swap.

I call personal attack on this thread. Sorry, but this is not fair at all.

If you don\'t like the way he does things, do it better then! He does some cool stuff, he does some stuff that\'s not so cool. My theory is that he likes to work quick, that\'s about it. I know other people like him, if they would have to spend a lot of time on their minis, they wouldn\'t finish anything. + He get good money from it too.. more power to him!

Westwind produce a load of World War 2 heads.
Hasslefree do a few sprues of heads but they can be fairly expensive for the number you get
Pig Iron have separate heads for their Sci-fi range, however most of them are wearing helmets or gasmasks of some description.

Those links are about 2 years old mate... And yes, calling someone a thief without cast iron evidence or a conviction for theft is libellous. It seems Scibor has cited and credited the original source of the heads, so I can\'t see how this is theft....naiveity at worse. He also ceased doing it as far as I know after the original furore. I was under the impression this thread is about a current sculpt.

I have compared the sketches (which you evidently haven\'t) and they are not generated in Photoshop from pictures of the sculpts, they are marker sketches and/or Photoshop/Painter/PSP renders. Even if they were rendered over photographs, so what? It\'s his stuff, he has the right to promote it as he sees fit. Your venom against this is baffling.

I\'d take what you read - and other peoples opinions - with a pinch of salt mate and use your own eyes and mind before sounding off.

I think there are occasionally people who remove pictures because of negative feedback or being unhappy with scores, and I also feel like it\'s poor sportsmanship. There was a guy who posted a bunch of Hell Dorado stuff several weeks back. After voting on almost all of it and commenting on several, the next week I felt like I had deja vu, but all the pics were slightly smaller. Felt to me like he was trying to massage the scores with smaller pics, and it had the opposite effect on me, I voted most of it a point lower for not being able to see the minis well enough to truly judge. And I resented my time being wasted in asking me to vote/comment on all the same stuff again.

Edit: Sorry to buck the trend of bitching about Scibor or bitching about bitching about Scibor.

And I\'d like mine with cinnamon sugar! One of these days I intend to find out what \"grits\" are. They don\'t sound tasty, but an American friend of mine speaks highly of them.

Just for the record. I don\'t dislike Scibor. How can I dislike someone I have never met? I have been in the past a fan of his work, I even contacted him to purchase a mini he had on his site.

I decided against it, because in my opinion he simply wanted far to much, so my choice not to buy.

It just pissed me off, as everyone would like comments, they seem like gold dust on this site.

I do comment on quite a few minis, so when I take the time to leave a comment, and it was constructive. I didn\'t just write this was cack as Space Munkie can testify to it reks me when someone just deletes it.

Scibor is a controversial topic, as I\'ve said before, but it still boils down to a personal attack, and I can\'t let it stand.
