Fired and brought up on charges.

Even if we completely ignore the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution (which, apparently, the Supreme Court has decided that schools can do), there\'s the fact that the child was questioned and searched without the consent of her parents or without an attorney (or other legal counsel) present, which is a violation of the law. Yes, she did consent to the search, but it went far beyond what could have been considered decent and beyond what was needed.

The people that did this need to be dragged out back and beaten with a m*$#(r-f&^#ing stick. I swear if someone did this to my daughter I\'d have them screaming for f&^#ing mercy within an hour of me finding out.

I don\'t normally get this agitated about things, but this is going way too far. Someone needs to f&^#ing pay for this.

Good grief! \'Tis a mad and scary world we live in. I suppose you could hide over-the-counter painkillers in your knickers, but speaking personally, I\'d be loathe to take them afterwards, too. Especially given the circumstances in which I normally reach for the ibuprofen. :|~

I suspect that their \"zero-tolerance\" policy is due to the meth epidemic in rural communities. Safford is pretty rural.

It\'s just stunning that anyone could imagine that cracking down on drugs should involve violating and humiliating this poor girl. And such is the state of fear we live in that they clearly thought that they could get away with it. When did it become right to trample on the innocent in order to punish a supposed \"miscreant\"? I do think there\'s something wrong with the world at times.

Might have to go read lizcam\'s happy stories thread again...

eh . . . it\'s a fact of life these days. Michael will either get himself straightened out or end up in the cemetary next to his brother. I already told me dad though that that is a funeral I would not be coming home for. Joe\'s death was an accident . . . Michael\'s would be by choice.

Anyway . . . Who\'s with me on bringing back fitting punishments for crimes committed. Cruel and Unusual punishments (as described by the judicial system) seem more than appropriate to me in many cases.

Torture needs to make a come back baby!

If that crap went down, you can\'t go in there alone. You\'d need someone to hold them down, while you beat them with that stick.....I\'d want to be right next to you, to lend a \'helping\' hand.



I\'ve no tolerance for people who use power to pick on the young, weak or infirmed.

I certainly hope justice prevails here and that principal and his cronies have to face the music.

You do realize this happened here in the states right? Yeah . . . justice is hardly ever served in the US. I can say that right now since the outcome of my brother\'s murder case . . . things are not going well for us and the crooks are getting more lenient sentences by brokering deals that aren\'t needed.

At least I have the satisfaction of knowing they still have felony drug charges facing them once the murder trial is over plus they already tried fleeing once (yet two of the idiots are out of jail until the formal trial begins).

I showed that piece to my lawyer friend. He said that he said that \"technically\", it is not violation of 4th amendment because she consented, however the validity of consent could and should be questioned because there are clear indications of coercion. Anyway, sorry for legalese

I\'m with you Meg .Criminals are taking over and the governments of the west lack the balls to sort if out.In Northern Ireland over the last few year there has been a growing number on attacks on old people in their homes,Teens kicking people to death and stuff like that.
My view is if you can do stuff like that you don\'t need locked up you need your scum ass wiped off the face of the earth in the most painfull way possible.
