Of course, it was in San Fransisco.
I\'ll not bash the California public school system, mainly because it\'s not just them, but while I was stationed out in San Diego I often volunteered to help adults learn to read.
The last was a widow with 5 kids who at 35 had the reading comprehension of a fifth grader. It\'s sad actually.

Edit: on a side note, I did help her, and got her started in a vocational school. Last I heard she got a great job and was able to buy herself a house and support her kids when before she was stuck at doing minimum wage jobs and government assistance. So, there is hope for some.

Its like yesterday on my local Craiglist Rant and Raves some dill weed got on and posted that Canada who has no problem with drilling for oil in its country look how cheap their gas prices are..and they showed a picture of a sign at a gas station of a $1.22.. the only problem is Gas is sold by the liter in Canada so the price per gallon would actually be $4.60 or so cents..making the price of gas in Canada.. 25% more expensive then the USA..

lets say they tore them a new one..:p

Sometimes stupid people really need to be reminded they are stupid..

Didn\'t the Germans create the torch? I know that it first came in at the 36 games, but I don\'t think it was someone outside Germany that had the idea for it.

Reminds me of a news story on NPR from a few years back. The reporter was covering the anti world trade/anti-globalization protests occurring at a WTO meeting in Brazil.

The reporter noted that an anti-globalization protester from Europe was heard loudly cursing that her European bank card would not work in a Brazilian ATM.

Yep, it was the Germans that came up with the torch. Hitler said it was a symbol of peace, or something like that.

\'cause all he wanted was peace - a piece of France, a piece of Poland, etc ...
