Hi all

started this Nurgle Giant for this years golden demon, not sure if I will enter him in the UK one or the German one yet

I have named him Tvågånger The Corpulent, Giant of Nurgle sort of a play on the Swedish for Twice or Twofold and so far I am loving this little project.

Also made some maggots for use on him later

cool one!, that gs work owns
as for GD, id enter this guy in germany as they (judges) seems to dig heavily modified minis more there than them in uk, which according to sources prefer "out of the box" ...

Fecking lovely, can't wait to see what you do with him. Got that figure myself and am thinking of sci-fying him up

That's rally nice, and cool to see someone taking green stuff to a forgeworld mini (maybe it's just me, but I've not seen that too many times)!

Tvågånger you say? Are you Swedish? Would be cool if you were, we need all the brilliant painters we can muster!

Anyway, looking foreward to seeing this completed! - Cheers!

@Moradin - Thanks pal

@SkelettetS - Thanks pal, I am still very much teaching myself sculpting through trial and error. My only real major attempt at sculpting was this, my nurgle warshrine for my table top army

which I think turned out pretty decently, prior to that was just minor bits of greenstuffing here for subtle conversions like on my Cycloptic Great Unclean One. But I feel more I do better I am getting for sure :D And I think you are right about the German GD although I will be against a lot tougher competition think entering the giant in UK would be a waste.

@Tee999 - Cheers pal

@freakinacage - Thanks pal. Will do some more GS work tonight and tomorrow night then I should be thinking about starting painting on Sunday (maybe)

@10 ball - THanks pal

@Stortotta - Thanks pal, not Swedish, sorry to dissapoint, British, but i am hardly brilliant yet anyway so your not missing out on anything just yet :)

man, thats gross! really cool though, whatever it is :D nurgle seems to be your thing.

Stortotta; right now i think there are many good swedish painters over here at cmon. especially at this forum, seems almost semi-swedish at times lol

Saw the title of the thread - expected to see a photo of myself approaching :D

Awesome work there matey, for some reason that huge chunk taken out of his right buttock particularly gives me the creeps - how weirdly precise is that!

@freakinacage - Lamb Bunha anyone??

@supervike - Nurgle keeping hobbists thin since 1986...... thanks pal

@SkelettetS - Thanks pal. At the moment pal I love nurgle but i sort of long for something that doesnt involve looking at freaky sking diseases and illnesses for research, I see horrible things in my mind when I shut my eyes at night.........lol

@Spoontoes - Thanks pal. that particular part of his butt is now crawling with maggots as well :D

Right well busy last few days with birthdays, tattoos and oh I managed to melt the cannon........did some greenstuff work on it put it in the kiln on Sunday started watching a film and forgot about it......came back and it had gone all droopy lol so I have had to buy a new cannon, just waiting for that to arrive before I carry one with the giant. In the meantime inorder to keep busy I have started Nightmaw (Sayl and Nightmaw combo from forgeworld) as he has been sat on the s*** to do shelf ready for painting for ages. Also gives me chance to test out some colour ideas for the giant before I start to paint him, so I see it as a blessing rather than a waste of £15.50 (FOR A F***ING CANNON!"!!!!!) reckon I could paint up and sell the two motars and make the money back on ebay maybe.

Right pictures of Nightmaw and the test for some of the areas of skin for the giant.

Loooking good as usual, for the skin I would add more colors for the shading and use more diffrent kind of colors in the shading to give the skin that little extra pop that I belive is needed. But you skill for making things really nasty looking in this one and the other pictures makes me think twice if I shold unscribe from this thread.

Good work, and hmm well looking forward to the next set of pictures, reminder to self, look at this thread in the morning...

Wow. You told me on facebook about the nurgle giant this looks nothing like the base model you shown me its far far far better. For a new sculpter your really learning fast i remember your first few goes at it and even that was impressive.

I've had a few weeks away and missed alot from you by the looks of it.

Cheers guys

Right started work on Sayl whilst I wait for a replacement cannon for the giant. As he has access to either shadow or heavens lores I wanted to theme him around one of those....shadow seemed more appropriate for Chaos. So I am going with a very dark overall look however I decided to add some ghostly faces to the armour to give some interest.

So far 70% of the armour plates are done and the trim basecoated
