You are the master of decay and sheer grossness, quite sickening in fact. Awesome.

@ischa - No responsiblity taken! :p

@Slybarbeau - Well do it over there.....

wow the guts are even more icky on a big screen. actually look like they are bursting and the pus spots are a great colour.

the effect on the tenticles is great too. mind if I ask how that was done?

Not at all, I first painted the tentacles super smooth as though I would paint them, well smooth......then using the same colours but adding a an extra shade darker and one light proceed to work in lots of dots applied with a sharpened cocktail stick (which also coming in handy should you get attacked by Lilliputian vampires) as the dots from a regular cocktail stick seemed too large. Starting with the dark dots at the base and the light at the tip but working them through each other so there are infact a couple of dark dots higher up and lighter dots lover down the tentacle.

UHU glue and tamiya clear colurs and inks is my bet? Probably miles off.

Is "other" stuff what you mentioned you were thinking of for the other fat fella?

Veins

Well the veins it just progressing glazes of various colours, think of a tree with a trunk, branches and twigs, starting thick and getting progressively thinner from the base. So start off with a black glaze near the wound drawing a fairly thick trunk vein, then using a purple glaze go over what you have already done but extend it further and start to branch out the pattern, then 50/50 mix of purple and red glaze and again go over everything once again extending and adding further branches, then do the same with pure red glaze and finally the same with a 50/50 mix of red and a little of the skin colour to blend the tips of the veins into nothingness. depending on how it looks at this stage I may need to add some further glazes of the darker colours to the original dark colours to define them further or not is totally down to how it looks.

Gribbly Goo on the guts

Mix of UHU glue, sepia ink (very small amount as it is rather overpowers the red), tamiya clear red. obviously it is down to choice, add, different inks and colours to the UHU to get different effects. yet the mix start to get a little tacky and then apply with a cocktail stick to the area, I do this by getting a blob of it on the end of the cocktail stick putting it at the start point and then pull it to different places. I found that if you wait a fairly long time before you start pulling it about you can also make almost transparent membranes. BUT PRACTICE THIS BEFORE COMMITING IT TO A MODEL!! as I don't want people coming up to me saying you told me to do this and that and now my model is f**ked.

Hope that helps

@freakinacage - Not true! I use the blood of virgins and kittens mixed up into Mrdee's Special Sauce!

@stevey293 - No I never start a 2nd model until the one I am working on is finished :p I am busy at the moment at work and life in general, I have also been getting harrassed by some paranoid pot smoking crazy man, who is going about saying I made him do something or other and I have ruined the hobby for him, he is going to make me pay and has also threatened me with physical violence. Luckily thanks to buddhism I now longer get any joy from grinding such people into paste like I did back in my early 20's, although I do wonder what would happen if you put a pothead who "thinks" he is punching fast and hard against a guy that has spent the last 10 years doing krav maga who is more than able to. Suffice to say the easy solution to the problem was to delete my facebook account so he can nolonger cause problems or have access to me, sometimes the easiest way to win the battle is to avoid conflict altogether. Well you did ask Stevey :p
