At first I was a bit miffed that I'm always typecast as such....but then I noticed there were boobies! Or, as a comedian recently said...YAYbies!

I guess im in that small bracket of men who prefer a nice 'fully clothed' girly picture?

I must ask my shrink why i feel this way....

one is it safe to view at work.

two: im sorry but 1800s early 1900s attire just looks frumpy. i like me the nude form as a whole. my biggest problem is i will see a person naked and immediately want to draw her. very bad thing when i am watching "adult" movies. :lol

Ubie, not work safe where you work (all those teenaged boys and all) and it's kind of cute when a guy wants to draw you. It cam just get in the way of other things that should be taken care of first.

Mike and Mr Chigh, I studied costuming in college (I know, that's even worse than 12th century french poetry but I lived near LA and figured I might get a job "in the industry") and I LOVE late Victorian and early Edwardian clothing almost as much as I like Elizabethan clothing. I even like wearing corsets. They're good on your back when you're a bit......top heavy.......like I am.

Sorry Ubie, but there's something about not having it all out there, having to use your imagination a bit, that is really sexy.

There is something to appreciate in the unadorned form. But there's just as much to appreciate in the presentation of that form. Outright concealment isn't appealing. (no one I know has bought "Girls Gone Burkas") But a woman who can suggest her curves, who hints at her assets, and who understands that clothes can accent and highlight a persons beauty is a rare find. That being said, it's just as fun watching a woman take said accents off.

But you're right, quite a bit of that 1800-1900 garb is hideous. The steampunk inspired victorian garb that is showing up in our culture today is far more appealing. Less poof, a touch less humility, and much more comfortable corsets for the women. I'm willing to be men in this pseudo victorian garb are eye candy to the ladies.
