Sons of medusa chapter- or Ferrus Veterans. In short- Ferrus Mannus created that legion which consisted of 3 companies- his most loyal and fanatical warriors- they all were mechanized at the very beginning of their recruting.
Ferrus and this chapter deployed on Istvaan 5 during Horus Heresy and after hard fighting they flee from combat taking the body of death primarch with them- but on the way to the main Iron Hands fleet, SoM got into the Warp Storm and have been in it for about 10000 years. So now they are almost dead- only mechanic parts of their bodies work good- and their souls are still devoted to Emperor, Humanity and Primarch. Because of Warp storm and Chaos powers they are still alive- and nothing can stop their service to Emperor and Ferrus... bla bla bla=)))
