40K: Sons of Steel Forgemaster Karel

Hi,

I finally finished my latest work which happens to be rather old school techmarine, member of my Sons of Steel chapter. The name is kind of an amalgam of Sons of Anarchy (and I don't even like that series) and Broherhood of Steel (Fallout). I just wanted suitable name for chapter whose founding chapter is Iron Hands.

Their actual homeplanet and the place where recruits are drawn is called Mir and it is guarded by gigantic artificial moon the Forge (or just Forge). Forge is basically home of the chapter and SoS fleet, and all of those who are chosen to be marines of Sons of Steel leave their former homeworld to live and serve there.

SoS has somewhat similar doctrines as Iron hands, though they are perhaps not as obsessed with bionics as members of their founding chapter and not as well known for cruelty. But make no mistake, they are not to fool with. Some have hinted that they would lean more to Mars and Machine God than God Emperor, but the Chapter master Alexander of Mir has often denied this fact. Marines of SoS are well equipped (even by marines standard) and they have legions of high quality servitors to maintain their weapons and warmachines.

Even though members of SoS are rather practical and logical, they still uphold many old traditions and they even have seremonial elite veteran guard called the Anvil guard. They are all wearing artificed terminator armour and armed with powerfull thunderhammers. Their main duty is to guard the core and the very heart of the Forge; The Hall of Assembly.

Forgemaster Karel is the oldest and respected of SoS techmarines, and he is armed with centuries old techmarine issue power armour which he has improved and updated. Most find him rathed dour and humorless person, but humor is less valued among SoS anyways.

Anyhow, I think it is very nice. I really like this alot, and I'm not into Space Marines at all. I'll give it a 9.

Thanks. I kind of liked this one, even though there was lots of small details etc. and for this is rather old mini, some of the details of this particular sculpt aren't that superb or even nice. Some of those tubes for instance were slightly rugged. But all in all not bad mini for being relatively old.

paint job is awesome, the mini is great. Back from when GW cared. I HOPE your reading this GW im still pissed off at your prices.......

sorry dude great model

The painting is smooth which is good, just personally I think you would have had a better effect with true metals, but then again that's my personal opinion.
