I was watching my local gaming station (G4) and they announced news about the PS3, the game pricing and when I heard it, I laughed at that anyone would pay that much \"60 to 100 dollar price range for games?! who do they think they are?!lol what a bunch of knuckle heads!\" and the console already costs $600, for $600, you can get Nintendo\'s new console the Wii and a Xbox 360! lol, looks like Sony wants to go belly up like a tycoon!

Yeah, I don\'t really know what they are thinking.... for that much it better plug directly into my eye.

There will always be high-end hardcore gamers, but I think Nintendo is going to own, pwn if you will, the casual gamer market in the next cycle.

That controller looks like it\'ll take some getting used to, but it\'ll be fun once your used to it. Apparently, there is a rumor that you might be able to plug your gamecube controller in. We\'ll know once it comes out.

The PS3 is like the Titan Dragon, only certain people are crazy enought to spend that much money on said thing

I don\'t think any of the consoles can compete with the PC for expensiveness....yet PC Games still are much better IMO...

But, I think you will be surprised at what gamers will pay for their systems....I think the demographic of players is much older and with much more disposable income. A high end game console could do well.

Oh, there will definitely be a contingent of high-end gamers, but I think Microsoft and Sony will be competing for them. At $200, the Wii (oh, please change that name) will be poised at \"Christmas present\" pricing, and that may carry the day over the \"max out your credit card\" price point Sony has picked.

Hmmm....

I don\'t see the problem...

I paid £299 for a PS1 when it first came out, £299 for a PS2 when it first came out and the launch price of the PS3 looks to be exactly the same. Each machine shows a huge improvement over the previous one.

$60 to $100 dollars for a game is hardly any different from the current PS2 new game prices although most of them run out at about £30. That is a big difference between XBox 360 games which generally cost £45-£50. I recently bought an X Box 360 and IMO it is crap. The only reason I don\'t eBay it is because I can stream my music collection from my PC through it and it plays \'Oblivion\'.

That has already been approved. You will be able to use the gamecube controller with the Wii - I\'d have to watch my E3 video sagain to give you a direct quote, but I\'m sure they said it would be possible.

60-100 dollars for games... istn that what they already are? (unless ur running steam)

Here in Germany you can expect to pay about 30 - 50€. I seriously doubt that you Americans and Canadians pay more, especially since about half of my collection has been in America or Canada ;)

Oh, and another little nibble: It seems that Sony has registered a trademark for \"Poos\". Haven\'t verified it though... but then again, they ripped off Nintendo\'s controller idea, why not rip off stupid names? :D
