No its not a bad idea.
Keeps the kid quiet. It is also no more a distraction than the radio, or having a passenger in the car talking to you.

Now that, I must say, is pretty damn silly.

Personaly I think that is a great idea.

There is nothing worse than when you are at the traffic lights and some ars**** pulls up next to you smoking his/her crap and the smoke comes into your car making it smell like crap, its such a discusting habit I think it should be banned in all public places....Yes I dont smoke.

Now, I don\'t have kids, but I can see the logic in distracting them. That makes sense.

BUT having seen grown men come damned near to fisticuffs while playing PS games...I\'d have to reserve judgment on that last part.

Forgot to mention, it\'s used primarly for it\'s dvd features...So why not just go for a dvd player? Well there is the game factor.

I agree but is it a ban on smoking in cars...or smoking cars? (you know bad exhaust) cause I got behind a diesel the other day and it made more smoke and pollution than if I\'d lit 20 packs at once.lol

Hehe, I saw a big dual-axle truck the other day with the entire back right quarter panel PITCH BLACK from diesel exhaust...with a little sticker advertising some diesel-powered vehicle website on the rear window....
