Space hulk termi *better pics*

Finally finished! .. I think. My pictures aren't that great but I hope you can see enough on them. He's for an online painting competition so go out on him

one thing that makes the whole pice look a bit unfinished is the absence of lettering on the medallions and "banderolls" (ok im not that familiar with SM terminology ) on his chest and leg.

looks great otherwise

Hi Luna, that's a nicely painted Termi, do you not have any more of those snazzy bases you painted up before Christmas? Latest pics sell him better than the montage with the full height gradient, just a guess but a more neutral background colour? The blue on the armour shouldn't be overshadowed by the intensity of the blue background. How does he look if you try a tan background, like the purity seals? I ask mainly because I've played with different colour background cloths but have never managed this cut-out business, I'll vicariously experience it through you instead A quick run of matt varnish over the base to kill that shine around the thinnest of the green glazes too?

Ahoy BPI!
I do have more of those space hulk bases, but its a pain in the ass to remove this base, since he's holding on to it and destroying it. I thought of that too, but sadly I can;t
My friend also did the editing, I could ask him to change that, but I think I'm going to change some things on him anyway, so I'll wait with that after I updated this mini. And the glossy comes probably from the light or the camera, because it is really matte in real life (he also looks better in real life than on those pics sadly ) but I might look into it, I'd have to buy a can of varnish in that case and I'm saving up for my trip to new-zealand.

dark and brooding i like. the highlights on the edges of the armour are well blended "drill those" oh opps erm cough never mind..
you should do a diorama and post it in jarheads moods comp if its still on the go that is. theres something very" stuck in the dark bowels of a space hulk" about the paint scheme

Its really nice to hear some great positive feedback and 'building-up' critism (that's how I translated it from dutch, there must be an easier way of saying it).

I got the swing again in painting, which is great; because my backlog is still very big.
