This is essentialy what I posted in the painting section- but I think that it realy wan't the right place to post it.

This is my take on the space hulk terminators. I've done the colours in a more traditional way with black power fists and bolters.
None are 100% done yet as you can see and i'll be doing some proper magnetised round bases so I can use them in 40k too (although I don't play ).

I think the quality of the pictures is a bit poor as in the other post a couple of people have replied commenting on the lack of shading and highlighting on the red and purity seals.

C&C welcome as I may e leaving my job soon and as a ti over I'm thinking of doing some stuff for Ebay- can you realy make much money ? . . . . any how hope you enjoy the pics

Nice guys. But I think you should shade a bit more your red and next highlight it with a bright red like blood red to make it look better. I like the scratches on the armour.

Thanks for the reply. I think the colours have not come out very well in the picture as I used the following:

white
badab black wash in to recesses
blood red
blood red
Brown ink into recesses
Blazing orange highlighting
Blazing orange / white 50/50
Blazing orange / white 33/66
Dark red ink to blend all together

So if any thing it should look orange. . . . .

I've been trying to get good pictures for a couple of weeks now but it is rather hard with out a light box etc as you can see these are taken outside with natural light.

HANG ON . . . .I think this may have happened before. . . . . .Thanks again though cheefly. I def need to get some better pictures taken.

nice termies! i think you managed pretty good not to fall into the "orange/pink" trap which is very common. i think i like the one with flamer most (bigger IS better! :D )

one thing to work on is the lettering on the seals, but thats just me beeing finicky :)

these are very good you show alot of skill with a brush. But I think some of the detail need more attention e.g. the scrolls the writing is poor when compared with the minis armour. It look to me as if you rushed to finnish them. If you are going to sell it is the detais which seperate good from excellent.
Over all very good job will sell on flea-bay but could get more with a little more on the details

Thanks for the comments

The lettering on the seals. . .. . . . aghhhh. I hate doing them. I use black ink - a bad idea.

Next time I'm using watered down dark brown paint I think. I find it very hard to do them an keep it tidy.

I'm going to have a look around later for a good tutorial. Unless you have some good surgestions.

when painting small details its always good to mix the paint with some drying retarder (i use vallejo but i guess there's a lot of different brands out there). oterwise, the paint tends to dry on the brush before i got a chance to hit the mini...
