Hi! I am quite fresh to this site, to miniature painting and, in fact, in entire hobby.
But I always try my best.
I know serious and nice painting need a lot, and I mean it, a LOT of practise. So I practise.

This is my first attempt in NMM, so Pls, don\'t kill me for this try

Okies, here is my attempt not to kill ya:
- NMM is a solid start, but you want to push the darks and lights a bit more. Darker darks, lighter lights. This is also true for the mini\'s body as well.
- Photo: The background is washing out much of your work (this from the guy who uses almost exclusively black backgrounds). Try a bit darker backing with perhaps a tint of the compliment to the mini (greenish in this case)
- Your freehand could be a bit more polished. try outlining the image you are painting in a color that would make it stand out.

Thats all I have at the moment. Its a solid mini and you have the theory well in hand. Keep painting!lol

Hard to judge from the photo. Try lighting it from the front and use a diffuser. Either use sunlight, a balanced bulb, or correct it in Photoshop. The light seems real warm.

I try to buy good daylight bulb in my city, but whenever I buy one, it is a little... not good, I would say. I try to do photos with ISO 100 in sunny day - also, my monitor can be burned a little, so I see colors in different way than other users. But I try my best to create solid photos of my minis.
