Space Marine Chest Eagles

Finally got round to undercoating the first squad of marines for an Ultramarine army I\'m starting to collect and am not sure what colour to paint the chest eagles on them...

When I was doing Space Wolves I used bleached bone washed with snakebite leather (simply explained, they were highlighted etc), which worked well for that army. Traditionally they used to be yellow, now they seem to be painted brass (which I\'m not overly enamoured with to be honest).

What\'s anybodies personal opinion on colourings for chest eagles?

What freak said, or possibly stone/grey

But pretty much any metal would work

I would go with White to be honest, that works with the the White ultramarine symbol and unit markin. Best to use the foundation grey I think it\'s called astronomican grey then one light wash of asurman blue then skull White layers on top it\'s fast easy and looks great

I like painting them with a verdigris look.
