Space Marine Commander; first mini in a while!

Well I got a mini done. It\'s the first one I\'ve done in a while. It looks pretty good and people from my local shops want me to paint for them. The photography isn\'t that good yet as I\'m still learning.

The paint job doesn\'t look too bad. The background is overwhelming it though. Try something more neutral and the mini will look better.

The rope thingie on the chest could be a lighter shade, different that the color of the leather skirt, as they are different materials of the same color. Mold line on the top of the Stormbolter. Drill the barrels out.
I\'m not sure about the size of the hammer? head. One. a smaller head would be more effective then something that large. Two, the handhold would look more natural closer to the head. Power armor or not, that thing looks heavy.
The eyes are looking good and I like the pose.

Thanks, Duck! I\'ll consider those suggestions for the next minis I\'m working on. I got the idea of the maul from the computer game, Dark Crusade. In the game, the maul is that big. You\'re right though, I should have made it a little smaller.

I\'m happy though that I\'m getting the posing correct and the painting down much better. Thanks for the comments!
