Very red. I\'d advise using black lining to make him look cleaner. It especially helps on red imo.

hiya, the ink wash looks a bit blotchy in places and the red is far too flat.

try a thin layer of your original red over the mini again, leaving the ink showing in the recesses.

Also some highlighting will sort out the flatness, but I appreciate this is still a WIP. Very cool pose BTW!

sorry to hear of your loss, know how difficult a time it can be. Glad to see you are finding time to paint again.

I have a BA army and I think I can help you out a bit. A warning though....what I tell you is just for tabletop gaming, not spectacular looking mini\'s (I can\'t paint that well anyway...lol)

1. Prime white
2. Paint Blood Red
3. Watered down Brown Ink
4. Re-paint Blood Red leaving ink to show through as lining in between armor plates.
5. Hilight with 60/40 mix of Blazing Orange/Blood Red
6. 2nd highlight with 50/50 mix of Blazing Orange/Fiery Orange
7. Detail work like eyes, pouches, markings.

Hope that helps a bit.

Yep I would definitely do a dark wash and some black lining.
