Ist, welcome aboard.
I dunno if I can really help. have you used the search filters in the gallery to give you some ideas, then I guess you\'d need to focus on what aspect of chaos you favour.

You need to be more specific. What do you want to know? Do you want ideas? Tutorials? Inspiration? Are your mini\'s already painted as CFs?

To give an idea of where I\'m going...
You don\'t go to the doctor and just say \"I\'m sick.\" You have to tell him what\'s wrong before he can begin to help you.

P.S. - Wrong forum.

(I dont yet have a codex yet) Whats the best material to make horns from? How can i change the packs? I hope this is more explicit.

Green stuff :)
Or milliput - whatever your preferred squashy stuff is :p

Do you want them to be newly tainted, fresh traitors, with just the beginnings of mutation...?
Or seasoned Chaos fanatics, serving their dark lords for millenia in the eye of terror...?

For the back packs you could simply carefully remove the old ones and use regular plastic chaos backpacks, or you could do a number of things to show them as Chaos...

Chaos, for some reason, tend to have the \"exhausty-bits\" of their backpacks extended, so you could simply carefully remove the normal exhausts - being careful to keep their shape.
Then you could drill into the backpack and exhaust, and pin a lengthened pin into place. Then simply disguise the joins with green stuff.

If you wanted, you could even exchange the regular exhausts for skulls, or something...

Chaos has a range of options for converting, but as already stated - you need to make some choices first.

simply go nuts

seriously,

Chaos is exactically that CHAOS,

Yes you can convert the termies they are in the codex,

First decide what you want to do,

Nurgle
Slannesh
Khorne (we like the Khorne.....NOT)
Tezennech

then litterally go mental with the convertions, the more chaotic the convertions look the more time they have spend in the eye of terror,

I would convert the terminators to Obiltorators if i where you, the blisters cost £9 each!!!!!!!!

Well i hope that helps,

Cheers Iain

Except - if you DO make the terminators Obliterators, don\'t make them look as bad as the GW versions :/

Sculpted by blind monkeys with Parkinsons... Euw :possessed:

Ive just seen some obliterators and they look nothing like terminators?! even so i have no spareparts except for some very old chaos beastmen given to me by someone. Could i somehow incorperate these? Also where do i get mulliput (the nearest thing i have to it is bluetack) as i have been scouring my area for some along with a spikes sprue. Is there any decent website i can get these items for relatively cheap? As you can probably tell i am not an experienced painter/modeler but i do want to learn as i am going to enter Golden Deamon young bloods hopefully. I get tips off Thomas Buckley (previous young bloods winner) who goes to my school.
Cheers,

battlewagon bits (On this website and found with a search on Ebay) is good, but not THAT cheap as they are GW bits...

Milliput can be found in loads of places, hobbycraft among them.
The CMoN site sells green stuff/brown stuff too.

If you want to do it cheap.

Easy materials to get hold of and Chaos

Tooth-Picks - Spikes
Fine Chain - for Chainy things - get from DIY shops.
Bumps,Boils - Green Stuff, Milliput - get from Hobby shop.
Metling Armour - Make, or melt small holes in the mini.
Severed Head - Any spare heads.
Tenticles - Green Stuff, Milliput
Horns - Green Stuff, Milliput.

As for the beast men, cut them up and use differnt pieces on different marines. e.g. Beastmen head, Beastmen legs etc.

To save a truck load of time you could always paint them as renegades by simply painting red crosses and scratches through the crimson fist and imperial insignia (there is an example in the Chaos space marine codex)

With renegades you could also get yourself a box or two of regular chaos marines and just stick a few helmets on the loyal bodiesthat you already have.
