I managed to get a free \'03 games day mini as a prize in a painting comp. A real nice mini to paint, very well cast (ed?), virtually no mold lines!

it looks promising. the only thing I can suggest is to get the camera focused and some more lighting so you can see everything in the picture. until then I can\'t really make any good points to critique on.

Agree. The pics are really so dark on this monitor that I\'d really only be guessing giving it a score :)

Yeh, sorry about the dodgy piccy, will go get a better one right away, while the lights still good. I used to take pics with electric lights but my mum dropped my bed on the light and smashed it..

As for the actual mini i think that it is very good. I like the armour colour and the fur also looks good. the part that i think is letting it down is the face. It is probably the most important part of a mini and i think that on this one ytou needed a little more contrast. Especially if he is meant to be and old, experienced warrior!

Oky doke, i did try lightening it on photobucket (their new editing stuff is pretty nifty). Will toutch up the face tomorrow and the metal where the green has spilled (knee area). Also need to tighten up the inside of the cloak.

Btw, James are you entering the national comp? Might go gw this weekend to get my entries in (if i finish, which i probarball will with all this \"study leave\").

lots of fine details on this one - the painting is overall well done. You do need a bit more contrast between the dark and the light areas.
There is some markings on his lover left leg that looks like it could do with an extra layer of paint.

i finished last thursday =), got to ride into school in the new bently continental sporty job. We need to meet up for a sesh in the holidays and you need to get the day off for the national comp judging! ;)

Just spent some time on the geezer, highlighted the high surfaces of metal, went higher on the skin and redid the bone (not quite finishedm waiting for it to dry). I think i\'m gonna do one final coat of snow, becuase i spilt my paint water all over it and it looks a lil bit dry..

I was hopeing somebody would ask that :).

I was re-arranging my room, so i could have more space (the easiest thing would be to get rid of the drum kit, but i love it too much (thank you ebay)). Well, she thought she would be able to swing the bed around on her own, but it was too heavy and mid swing, not bothering to move any of my stuff, she dropped it on my lamp (carefully placed in my photography area). The lamp smashed, she said she would buy a new one, five months later... :D

I dont mind too much now its getting lighter though.
