well,this is a mini from the black reach and I'm going to finish it in 2or 3 days.
I had a great pain on painting the face 'cause I've got only red blue yellow vallejo paints , I have to create the flesh color myself, after several shots I think I'm close to what I want.
So, here it is, a finshed face and other part are painted with base color.
My first time to release a WIP, Give me , a rookie ,some advice or things like that, I really apprecitate, thank you !

========================
ok,armor highlights and shades finished, thanks to bpi's idea , the shades worked.
the highlight may have gone a little far, however it looks ok .
next step i'll use orange>yellow gradation for chest and red>orange gradation for cloak

Looks like a nice start, a layer or two more to make the colour more uniform on certain places, banner, cloth... Perhaps mix all three colours equally to get a shade of brown that you add slightly more blue to and paint shadows and recesses in the armor with. And the same with the cloth, only with more red instead of more blue...

Black, white, blue, red, yellow! Way to challenge yourself Juphro, well done! With such a limited pallette I'd suggest not worrying much about "realism" and far more about clearly defining different elements of the sculpt. it doesn't look as though you've undercoated? Whilst there is a whole world of primer out there that I've yet to investigate I'd recommend a thin black coat all over on your next mini (as you've done on the chest/gun), it'll help to provide shading when you put your base coat on (all of those areas looking grey through the red would instead look black/red, job done, move onto highlight :) Looking forward to seeing your grey & yellow nmm! Good luck, B.

Nice start but I think you should buy some more colours even if you can paint it with a limited palette.

juphro I like what I have seen of yours so far, just one question are you putting primer on the figure because the pictures look like you are painting straight onto the plastic. If you are then be careful the paint will flake off very easily, if you want a good gray primer nip down to halfords.
If you have primed the ignore all the above and carry on with your good work.

thanks, i think blending colors is really a pain, i'm going to buy some more, like flesh , orange, purple/
and also i haven't got premier spray,...maybe that's a necessary expenditure
