Spam pop up on iphone with CMON

Hi folks.

A bit of an odd issue, basically i thought i had got some kind of spam issue on my iphone. When i went to safari and brought up cmon and did anything on the screen i got a new page open and directed to a spam site usually a porn site.

I have cleared out the phone and hard reset it, i then came back to safari and opened up a few websites like car forum, BBC etc and all ways fine.

As soon as i came back to Cmon and tried to zoom the screen in to type in my login it zoomed out to open a new tab and it went back to this random site.

As far as i can tell, my phone shouldnt have a virus, would be very unusual on an iphone, and it doesnt do it with anything other than CMON.

Is there anyway the mods can check to see something isnt causing issues to lead to a porn redirect from the site.

I thought i would bring it up as i am pretty sure its not a browser issue on my phone as its not doing it on any other sites.

No virus, I have the same with my android phone, connected to US through VPN from China...
Only on CMON website and with my phone!

So I'd say something with the site.

have the same problem, initially thought my router had been hacked. While forum browsing it sounds like Apple has had problems with website redirect's (hidden in 3rd party ads) before, forcing people into the appstore... or other websites. Maybe an ad blocker app could stop this?

Had the same issue multiple times with my Android phone in South Africa. While browsing new minis and while trying to access my account page - the same porn site came up each time it happened. Unfortunately I didn't grab a screen shot at the time. I use my phone for a lot of browsing, have also checked for viruses (clear) and it's only on CMON that this happens. Possibly a site hack?

Most likely a Google ad unit, they're terrible at allowing redirect ads. I've turned them off to check to see if it solves the problem.

Sorry Chern it's still redirecting to porn. I'm on an iPad with latest IOS update and no adds anyway as im premium so probably not Google ad.

just clicking in the "search description" in the browse gallery menu poped up porn.

Thanks Chern. I don't think we say it often enough but we really like CMON and you do a great job with the site. So anything you can do to keep our beloved forums secure and working is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help all - we're narrowing down the list of possibilities. When you visit the site (and get the popup), do you do so from a bookmark, direct link or a Google search suggestion?

I've had it on my android too, always when going back to a page that I had opened earlier.
I assumed it was an xss attack in one of the topics but if people are getting it elsewhere then that seems unlikely.
I haven't had it in a little while though.
