Chaos spawn; intended as a spawn for a generally Slaaneshy army, although I doubt it will be used a s a gaming piece . Comments and suggestions are very much appreciated I still have about a week to finish him.

I\'m not sold on the gaps where the tentacles/spines join the main body, it would have looked nicer if you had filled them. But I love the base, I tink it looks abseloutly fantastic, it looks realistic, the rats ar a nice touch too. I think the bricks on the base look really cool, how did you paint them (colours etc.)?

That is seriously cool. Like squig said, the base is amazing; I think the areas with the skulls on (first pic) could do with a bit more contrast, but I think it\'s pretty awesome. As for the spawn himself, I think the colours are great, but you need to up the contrast slightly (around the eyes on his chest, for instance), and definitely do something striking with his eyes to make sure his face stands out. I would say that you should matt varnish him, but to be honest I think being a bit shiny kinda suits the mini.

That really is looking great so far. And while I\'d echo some of the others\' comment (particularly about giving it a bit more contrast in spots, and the gaps where the spikes meet the body), with a bit more work this could really be amazing.

Quick question: just how big are these Chaos Spawn? Is that a regular 40mm round base, down underneath it all?
