What\'s up here: critiques/comments are needed please, friends. I\'m disappointed in that I seem to be sliding backwards score wise *yes I know they don\'t matter, and yes I know there\'s only 10 votes* and I\'m just wondering what it is I\'ve missed...

while the concept of the mini is hot the sculpt job is a big turn off for me. her face looks a little lumped and mushed and her whole chest, proportions seem squashed and not so good. your painting is great (strong 7 to me) i dig the rose on her can and her staff colors and detail are top notch. also i really like the base grass which seems very well done and detailed and filled out and is just the right size. i mean if u look at the ad to the right of this pick for steve jackson minis and you can see how his faces just come to life etc its a severe difference in skullpting. so while the concept of the mini is outright hot and whorry and your paint job is totally good the mini drags down the entire concept. thats oone thing about the asassin line, half of it i just dont like based on pure skulpting, not even character or design.

I agree with wightzombie that you have done a good job with the painting of this piece (I gave it a 7 as well), but there are 2 things that really stick out that made me think 6 first: the lips are much too thick, and her butt looks like the top half is one shade and the bottom half is another, with a very abrupt transition. But the tattoo is nice and the robes, hair, and staff are what made me go with 7.

My comments...

darthfoley, I gave it a 6. Mainly cos of the not-so-good sculpt originally (not your fault) and a few areas that may need looking into.

(1) Your paint is a tab too thick. It looks lumpy to me. Eg. the lips and the er...tits.
(2) The upper lip is too thick as compared to the lower lips.
(3) The choice of colours, especially the cloak, gave it a more dirty look (no puns intended). It doesn\'t complement each other that well. The roses may well have stand out but it\'s somehow blended with the robe.
