I have a ton of spears to do, I wonder how you guys would paint a spear e.g. of a goblin or skeleton or anything else ?

It also depends on how detailed you want them. For gaming quality, one base color is good. For more detailed, you'd just make the highlights in lines. Cylinders stretch reflections on them so they aren't too detailed.
