Hello everyone. I started a series of articles the other night, and got it uploaded here. You can find it at: http://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/615
Basically I am writing this series on speed painting. This is intended for getting large amounts of models painted quickly, but still looking great. I know that we all arent gamers, and some of us like to paint only single figures, so I am also trying to include techniques that can prove useful to everyone.
This particular article is based on the importance of mixing your stages of highlights in individual mixing pots, which greatly improves the speed. I have also included step by step instructions on how I mix up full pots of custom colored paint, and also how to mix matches to old colors that are no longer in production.
I plan on writing a few more installments in the next few weeks, and will get them uploaded as they are finished. These will cover everything from fast layering techniques, to my method of assembly-line painting.
Hopefully these will prove useful to at least some people. Once the article is up please let me know what you think, and give me any suggestions, C&C, or whatever you wish.
Thanks for looking!
