As part of the minisculpture.co.uk July-August 2012 Sculptalong I plan to sculpt a 28mm Spiderman.

Made some simple reference sketches today:

...and started a basic armature:

The arms will be posed better once I've secured them to the torso with putty.

Still very much tempted to sculpt a Spider Woman, lol...

Did like the idea of sculpting the upside-down Spidey but had a couple of minor reservations...

Hopefully this project will improve my posing

the pose in the corner right - down, spidey sticking to the wall and looking up is kickass. hard to sculpt i guess.

Last nights progress:

Just a rough first layer. The arm wire fell off as I first picked him the armature so I spent more time repairing than blocking out basic shapes. That can come next time!

My cunning ploy has worked while I start sculpting my marvel model ha ha ! just kidding look forward to seeing your progress , might even have to do my own work in progress for this project.

Hardly progress but I had a little left over putty, so...
