Let\'s have a show of hands! Who has ordered the CMON competition miniatures from New Wave so far? I have, and it was my first purchase over the internet (come on, I am 80 odd yrs old - I only do this stuff when I\'m not running the Catholic Church...). It felt amazing!

This post can act as a\"sizing-up\" of the competition, and we can all get really tribal with each other...:p

As far as I know, all the orders have been shipped, and they will continue to ship the same day the orders come in... until we run out of the first casting, then we have to wait a little while for the second castings to be made. Not sure how the holiday will affect delivery, but most of you should see your CMON minis soon. Some already reveived them, but most of the US customers should see them before Christmas.

Also, we already have the next 2 tenatively picked out... don\'t really want to spoil the surprise, but they are amazing... we will discuss this when we get closer to the next CMON contest...

I already got mine. Will be packaging one set as a xmas gift, and the other set is of course for me. Both minis are around 35 mm tall (inch and a half). I like both the hammer head and the axe head and am having difficulty deciding which to use.

I got home from work today to find that my three sets had arrived; woo hoo! Very nice; can\'t wait to start painting them up.

I do have a question. How will submission be handled -- will they be submitted as normal and can we expect a pictures to appear scattered through the next two months, or will the release of all the pictures be delayed until the end of Feb?

You basically submit your minis like you would with any other pic, but under the CMON category and under the specific name, so that peopel can do a search for it. So they will scatter when they come in... no point in holding them back, as everybody wins if they submit their painted figs before the due date. Special prizes may be awarded to some, but I will chat with Chern about that.

I\'ll be ordering one copy of both minatures shortly. I am wondering however if mine will get to me before the end of February 2003, as they seem to only have one choice when it comes to delivery on the ordering page and that is \"standard delivery\"... Hopefully we are not talking surface mail to the UK here, and that even though it says \"standard\" I\'ll be paying for and getting some sort of airmail!!! lol It\'ll be interesting to see when yours arrive Reverend..

35mm tall?? Yikes I\'ve never painted a mini bigger than 28mm!!!! But hey what\'s an extra 7mm........ *gulp* lol

I\'ve painted the Warlord figs and it was actually better in some ways, the detail is spread out a bit. If you think the extra 7mm is daunting, try doing an Anime kit without any other expirence! I ordered the figs, but I\'ll have to see them in person.. to me they look like they could stand some conversion.. Right now I\'ve only ordered one set, but I wanna order that Daemon Prince at 30% off, too so... :p

Daemon Prince at 30% off? What one Chrispy? What conversions were you planning?

Personally I think the CMON figures look very good and represent great value for money, however, the swords appear imho a tad excessive in size and rather unwieldy.... It should however be great fun painting them, despite the fact the gaming friends I know will be moaning that by painting them, I will be have less time to complete my armies for gaming!

I ordered my pair at the end of last week, but no idea how long it\'ll take them to reach the UK... especially over christmas!! But I am looking forward to painting them - I intend to try NMM... something a little different to my usual style, but should be fun!

Not that I\'ll be much competition for some of you guys :p

I ordered two sets last monday 16th December. The courier tried to deliver them Thursday 19th and they were finally delivered this am.
To BORG -- THX...well impressed with the speedy service from NewWave. looking forwared to getting home and drooling over the minis.

PS sorry about the blank post -- can\'t type and think at the same time!!.

Got my three sets on Thursday also.. Very cool.
But be cautious on how you handle them.
I was fitting the sword on the valkerie and accidentally popped her head off..:~(

I\'m still debating on if I want to purchase them, as I have a lot sitting on my painting table that needs finishing before I begin *another* project.
So we\'ll see how things come together after X-Mas.

I ordered one today. I guess I should paint something made in the current century now and then :)
Anyway, I\'m in the US so I don\'t expect to wait long. When CMON has had something in stock in the past delivery has been quick.
