I\'ve seen recently in discussion on several forums that a WHOLE lot of wargamers like football, most seem to be not so up on the Olympics.
What I was wondering then, is what sports are you into, participating or following.

Myself, I follow closely NBA basketball, Formula One, and casually follow Major League Baseball, and Red Bull Air Race.

As far as actual participation, I played and umpired baseball, and I get my walking exercise by doing a couple of 12 mile plus a week.

well, I\'m not really a sports person. That being said I do like soccor, baseball and basketball on occassion. Can\'t handle tennis or golf unless I really need a nap. Those are much more fun to play than to watch.

Actually I blew my knees out playing soccer (okay, \"proper football\" to everyone but the USA) when I was 13-14 and am paying the price for it now. Both need to be replaced.

I don\'t follow anything. Why? because for some reason, my TV gets NO channels! but I bike and swim almost everyday. Except today. Today I\'m going to Six Flags!! And maybe, just maybe, I\'ll go on Superman...

I don\'t generally watch very much, though I\'ve taken to watching golf, occasionally,
since I started playing again. I also like to watch figure skating events in the winter.

For playing, baseball, basketball (I stink), and road hockey.

Does watching rugby players\' bums count as sport? ???;):D

I also love watching equestrian sports- particularly showjumping and eventing. I used to ride, but I don\'t at the moment. I like swimming and hiking, and going to the gym when I remember. And I\'m hoping to buy a bike next month so I can cycle to work, and also allow the German drivers a fair go. lol

I fanatically follow real Football, not the kind with a round ball, but the proper oval shaped one. The Regular season is coming quickly, and I can\'t wait!

I am also becoming a fan of Major League Baseball, although it used to always bore me. The games are so enjoyable, but relaxing.

Plus, any sport my daughters play in I enjoy quite a bit.

I like watching soccer and was a Canucks (Vancouver\'s NHL team (hockey!)) fan but since I moved to Toronto the time difference has made it hard to really keep up with the west coast games!

Hey, Canada is on your side there, too! :D I mean that in a few ways -- you could always move to Canada and get free healthcare ;)

Following the Leafs is easy, they are on every saturday at 7. The 10 o\'clock game is a bit tougher, could be Edmonton or Vancouver, but still easy enough to catch at east a bit of it.

I love watching rugby, and I get down to watch Cardiff Blues as often as work allows. I like football to the extent that I take part in Fantasy Football every season, the sort where you choose a team of players with a budget and all that stuff, getting points for their performances in each match. I play football once a week still. I ride back and forth to work a couple of times per shift on my MTB, but I want to get a road bike and put some big miles in. I go into the hills on the MTB with a mate now and again or on my todd if I feel like it. I love the endurance stuff, climbing and getting to a target without any rest. It hurts but my lungs and heart are probably happy with me :D

I\'ll watch any old tat on the box, but I particularly like watching snooker. I love the olympics, especially the human stories that are sadly missing in the monster that is Premier League football. Football, as much as I like playing it, is incredibly disproportionate in its rewards, to the point where players are detached from reality. Rugby is far more realistic, with people able to make a comfortable life for themselves (as opposed to becoming multi-millionaires within a year or two) as a result of slogging their guts out for ten/fifteen years at the sharp end. The spirit and ethos of the game also makes more rounded people. I reckon so anyway.

I like to watch wintersports mainly. Skiing, Snowboarding etc. :)
For myself I am in bodybuilding, scuba diving and snowboarding, but well scuba diving and snowboarding is a bit \"hard\" to do it \"regularly\". A bit expensive. :D

When I moved to Chicago to be with Jim, I became a sports fan.
I think it\'s something in the water.
:flip:
We are huge White Sox fans (baseball)

We watch the Bears (football)
Jim is very into college football as well.

We\'re looking forward to hockey actually being televised here. Go Blackhawks!!

We like playing basketball more than watching it.

Jim is really into volleyball, so the Olympics is great for that.

After the huge holiday meals, the whole family plays whatever sports the weather will allow, which sometimes means playing ping pong in the basement. There are many house rules that make it more physically demanding.
