Spray Gun help among other things

I was wondering if anyone had a good recommendation on a spray gun (correction airbrush) to purchase?
I will be using it to mostly get the base colors down on my blood angels army, basically to get the red down nice and smooth. I wanna try using a airbrush cause a) i think it will my red much nicer, and b) i have about 48 jump pack troops to paint and i don't wanna go insane, like i did with the 30 tactical marines i painted by hand.

Also i was wondering if anyone could refer me to some good painting videos that deal with painting and blending red, because at the moment I'm finding it impossible to blend red. Or even if there is any good Samaritan in the Toronto, Ontario area that could meet with me and help me out that would be awesome to.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

First off, I'd get a can of your favorite red in Krylon. You should be able to get a base coat on about 20 marines for $3.

Now, if you want to jump into the wonderful world of airbrushing (a spray gun is what the house/car guys use - a lot of overkill for our scale...):
1. nothing comes cheap. You'll need an airbrush. I prefer the Iwatas, an eclipse will do what you want with base coats. Enion likes the Aztecs. A little less maintenance with the Aztecs.

2. you'll need air. Cans of air get very expensive very fast. It won't take long to justify a small compressor.

3. now you're hooked.

Do a forum search for "airbrush" and you should find several threads with lots of info....

A little bit of advice for airbrushes; buy the best one you can afford, clean it religiously and it will last a lifetime. Try to get hold of either the Iwata or Harder and Steenbeck if you can, that said most cheaper airbrushes will get good effects for basecoats and washes. It really is a case of

Check on EBay for compressor, Jun-Air/Bambi are powerful and produce very good quality "clean" air, and most of all are pretty much silent at 40dB.
