I know what this is about.

Exterminator\'s sculpted entry for UK GD 05 has been ruined because of an old spray of inferior quality. Obviously he is quite pissed about it.

thats right modo he took an old gainy spray from citadel and he ruined the whole scratch model... and it was amazing, believe me!! but the sentence should have said: spray, the enemy of sculpted miniatures (he missed the \",\" so spray was a verb before:D)

Here\'s an idea: Go and spend some cash on an airbrush.

Or undercoat by hand.

Or shake your tin of spraypaint and TEST it before gamming up your models!

:duh:

I tried undercoating by hand yesterday - was very smooth, and I didn\'t have to go outside (it was windy and cold :( )

Obviously, but is stripping out of the question?

You\'re so right - the spray mantra should be \"test it first!\"

I\'m going to harp on about this forever it seems but ditch hobby primers in favour of ones made for automotive or industrial applications - they\'re generally much cheaper and usually tougher, and they\'re easier to get since you don\'t have to have a local hobby store!

I\'ve only ever used car primer $5 a can. If I get a dodgy batch it doesnt bother me so much. I havent had many problems at all. I went to car primer because the GW stuff was too glugy and after 2 bad batches $15 to $20 a can I gave up on it.
