Sproket's WIP

Man, good stuff, Sprokets. I too am crawling out of the winter cold and flu pain cave to try and slap some paint around, and seeing your post this morning got me unstuck on the color scheme for my current project. Thanks! I am always attracted to magenta and aqua marine. I guess it's because I am a child of the 80's. I will head over to your blog when I have a few more minutes and see if I can't figure out how you are using the yellow and purple (?) to unify things...

I like the water blisters. Someone posted this picture on the Reaper forums, I thought it was pretty awesome. Not blisters, but eggs.... precious....

Looking very interesting the yellow and green is an eye catcher. Will store that little gem away.

Demi the pic of the bug sent a shiver up my spine. Insects are so strange-almost like aliens. Such a creepy dude though with all those eggs....ugh!!!

It's a great reference picture - I'd be inclined to use it as the basis for a Tyranid paint scheme. My favorite Tyranid paint schemes always seem to play on their bug like qualities.

It's been very nice seeing my minis to appear in print.
Seeing the Hellion in Visions served as a very timely reminder to me that if I want to achieve quality I need to invest time in a paint job. I was still in a bit of a speedy mindset after the Haemonculus and Gutrot Spume is not a mini to be rushed!

something i have to remind me of all the time, quality over quantity! although right now it had been great to actually finish something...

In the spirit of not rushing things I turned my attention to Gutrot's tentacles at the weekend. I might not have painted masses but it really feels like I turned a corner and I've no longer got the feeling that I'm trying to figure out what to do with this mini. There is a lot to do and it won't be easy but I’m confident and happy about the direction I’m taking - about time too!

Just been staring at the pics for a good ten minutes the blending and the colour choice are very good indeed. Loving it ......not gonna enter this category....no point!

The pattern you're doing on the tentacles is fantastic. And I love all the colors you have chosen for this, they play very nicely with each other.
