Pictish Mini Painting

I'm actually a man!
Ah, I ask as I just started using the scale 75 stuff on some infinity Fusiliers (tiniest faces in the world!!!)

So wondered what recipes others were using as I just played with their 'instructional pamphlet' as I was at a mates and all I had.

Will watch with interest.

Sprokets,

I found this awesome resin kit to help you move your folks. You should be able to paint it in time, just don't go crazy with the freehand :)

I may be Sixty next January and have Grey hair, but please think on this;
"Do not regard Silvered hair as a sign of age, but a warning that the person has a lifetime of experience in dealing with and dealing out Crap!"

Dragonsreach, remember they say a grey haired man is really a 'silver fox'...at least that's what I'm telling myself. I've got a load and I'm only 31 haha. I think they starting appearing when I began comparing my painting level/skill to people like Sproket. For example that Gutrot is just something else. Looks amazing

Project ‘moving Mum & Dad’ is going well with moving day set for this Thursday! The biggest challenge is in keeping Mum from going into complete meltdown!!!

In other news I've had a little time to spend on Mole and managed some progress. Working with desaturated colours goes against all my instincts but suffering is supposed to be good for you! The pictures are pretty crappy, I just couldn't get the lighting right, and a lot of the subtlety in the shading has been lost but they give a general idea of how things are going.

Dave is that nmm on the boots? If it is then that's some of the finest I've ever seen as I really can't decide wether it's nmm or metallic paint!

It's metalic paint! I thought it was about time I gave it another go & Mole seems like a good mini to go down the TMM route with.

These photos are very 'quick & dirty' but they probably give a better idea of the true colours on Mole than my earlier attempts! I've spent some more time on the face. For the first time ever I tried out the principle of using yellow tones in the top of the face, reds in the middle and blues in the lower section. I was a bit sceptical but swiftly changed my mind on the subject. Even though I was using very subtle glazes the face really started to come alive and the flesh tones were greatly improved.

I love to see your initial tones and how they change so drastically from subsequent glazes. A little saddened, though, by your choice for true metallics. I was hoping this could be a learning experience on par with your Infamy Ape and all the metals he had on him. However, I suppose this can be a TMM clinic then,. Please do a write up similar to yur Cheechee one when desrbing the metals. That dark steel one from Scale75 would be very useful here...

He is coming to life, that's for sure! Amazing job all around with the desat pallet. Love the shadows everywhere. Do you plan on keeping the mole highlighted as is, or are you going to give him a nasty brown blemish to follow his namesake.
