Don\'t quite know what you mean alex, the armour is exaclt the same colour. What do you think makes him so much better then the others? I\'m not getting much done in the way of painting these days, I blame it on lack of ability to get anything undercoated :p But I thought I\'d try to get some more grunts assembled and converted at least, I need to order some more FW upgrade packs soon, unless anyone has some they want to trade/sell :)

And obligatory, \"I just got a new pet\" shot.

What i mean is, his left shoulder pad is not weathered like the chest armour, so it looks strange.

I think it looks better because the weathering is much neater and the painting is smoother.

Gotta love those Necron Chiropractors :p

Agree - that second guardsman is much better than the first :)

But what\'s the orangey brown girder thing sticking out the back of his base?

Hehe, they\'re not neccesarily upright, I just removed that stupid bowlegged \"I will take a shit for victory\" pose lol

Got another one converted, and based both of them;

:(:p

Walking necron, this is the pose I\'ve been trying to get all along, and am really pleased that I finally managed it, even if it was a bloody pain to do

Necron raising himself from the sand, guess what, yup, this pose is as it is because I lost his left foot after slicing it off :p

And now for the main point of the update, I\'ve finished my lord conversion and am really pleased with it. It always bothered me slightly that the lord looked exactly like the warriors, he\'s even smaller too  I could have left it as it was the last time I showed him here, but I decided to convert him even more, and more, and more :p I had great fun just playing around with the model and making it something more distinctive :) So I added a cowl thing and necklace whatsit like the picture of the necron lord on page 16 of the codex. It doesn\'t show up terribly well, but I even sculpted on the \"lord symbol\" thing onto the main bit in the trinket, damn that was fiddly work. I converted the torso quite a lot to make it look more ornate, like the Pariahs, and the ball thing is a ressurection orb, built into him. I also bulked out the torso, and then the legs as it was looking a bit top heavy at that point, and added a pec to his torso. Enough talk though, picture :p

Before X-mas ;) The conversions take different amounts of time, but I can generally paint two warriors in an afternoon/evening. Anyways, was working on a tank for my IG, both WIP and finished shots here. Might tweak it a bit later, but I\'m fairly pleased with how it turned out, considering never having used an airbrush before and all the new stuff I tried out on it. some of the stowage is my own, cast, need to sort out some better resin before I cast any more though. Anyway, hope you like it, C&C is as always appreciated :)

Great stuff as always mate.

I think that 2 of the poses for necron could use more work, the walking one and the standing one. The standing one\'s feet seem too close together now making him look top heavy and...well...confused as to what he\'s doing.

The walking ones feet aren\'t quite right, neither foot should be flat on the ground like that. Try looking at some pics for reference to see how I mean.

Keep up the good work mate.

Cheers,

Dante

I like the way the necro\'s turned out. I agree they have a more \"star wars\" feel. But I think they turned out great.

Good stuff. keep it coming
