Dude, you are like some kind of mini-making machine! Looking very cool... and that was a big bag of stuff you had, at least 1.5 metric craptons.

Am I right in thinking this was your last year in youngbloods? So it\'s the wonderful world of golden demon for you next year :) Better get on with getting some entries for that started too... come on, hurry up!!!

Ben

Lol, thanks, I can churn stuff out pretty quickly when I am in the zone :) And what I bought was nothing, some AB members bought as much as £500 worth of FW! AFAIK YB is up to and including 14 ??? Maybe the rules have changed. And I have actually

You\'re just jealous of my deamon, and possibly the fact that I\'m taller then you, and three years younger :moon: :p

Finished my first guardsman properly, the main areas (fatigues and armour) took relatively little time to paint with weathering, face, backpack and freehand (practicing, alot) getting most of the attention, I think this will work if I batch paint the fatigues and armour and do the rest individually :)

I hope you like him, not very apparent on the pic,but the eyes have been painted, and so has the scar. The freehand is the Cadian gate symbol with a piece of barbed wire in the middle to signify the trench figher role.

Freehanded shoulderpad (other pad is frehanded as well, but as most of it is covered I didn\'t take a separate pic)

And regarding the whole balsa wood thing, I got given a ton a while back so I thought I\'d use it :)

Bah, shorty... You know i am taller than you...

Looks good mate, prehaps a little rushed in some areas like the shirt on his right arm looks a little unsmothe (more layers?)

Freehand looks good, remember to keep the battle damage to the areas that would get worn most, eg the edges of things, especially on the gun and helmet.

Makes me want to go paint my half painted fw dudes...

FFS that cadian is probably the best i\'ve seen and so soon after the original WIP shots.

I might as well give up painting now :(

Heh, thanks everyone, I managed to knock out another guardsman, nothing that special really, does give a proper closeup of (his) left shoulderpad though :)

@Duckie, there will be shotguns, and more equipment and stuff. What are these E tools of which you speak though. I\'m assuming some sort of electrical implement ???

On form today, finished converting a Cadian sniper, replaced and lengthened the gun-barrels, added ghili stuff and removed and resculpted the hood to he\'s wearing it. I\'m quite happy with how he came out so far, even though I couldn\'t do much on the base seeing as he covers so much of it.

@TheCadian
Bits of cork glued on
Bit\'s of plastic H-Beams or barbed wire on bits of balsa wood glued on
Vallejo Sandy Paste put on after mini is glued on

Mud:

Overbrush kommando khaki
Heavy wash of Devlan Mud

Rock

Wash static grass with Devlan mud

@nightsword But of course, or I wouldn\'t be preaching it. I estimate that I have about another 130-something guard left to paint

@generulpoleaxe, thanks :) It\'s not Silfor grass though, it\'s \"Faller autumn ground cover\" or something like that, I got it from Acentocitis Workshop

Ta everyone, C&C welcome,

I am aware that it isn\'t a full on ghillie suit, but then again, it wasn\'t meant to be. In the trenchy muddy wasteland there isn\'t that much vegetation so a full on bush would look a bit out of place, which is why he only has a little bit of ghilli stuff on him ;)

@nightsword, I know lol, then agan this might well turn into an eternity project :)
