ST forum hacked

looks like the ST forum has been hacked :evil:

the message that has been left has rather political overtones about Lebanon.....f**king idiots, wow, what a fantastic political statement you have made by trashing a Spanish miniatures forum.

My sympathies to the ST forum admin, I hope that not too much damage was done

Most people consider us the lowest rung on the nerd ladder, but we\'re not, so they pick on us thinking we have no way to retaliate, and the people who do this stupid sh!t are mere \"hax0rs\" a noob hacker who thinks of himself of the end all be all and then, they slip up and they piss the true hackers off and when they retaliate, things get ugly for alot of people. Turns out a lot of people who know every OS and Firewall like the back of their hands turns out to be....a miniature afficianato. Us miniature painters shouldn\'t except crap like this like its every day, we are not second class citizens, we are human beings, we are artists! We damn well earned everyone of our rights like a normal citizen! We are citizens and we should not be ashamed of ourselves because we are not as low as the limbo stick goes, we are not corrupt politicians who rape small children, we are everyday citizens who meander to work everyday like a normal person, we are amongst ourselves without knowing it. WE ARE CITIZENS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD AND WE SHOULD NOT BE STEPPED ON BY LOW-LIFES!

Yes & No.
A lot depends on how the partition of space is allocted to the indivudual users and how each site is designed. Individual Sites can have extreme layes of protection on their pages, so their content will be OK just the software providing web hosting could be corrupted.

Any good web host should be doing a daily backup at the minimum. If it\'s based around SQL then backup snapshots are easy to make 2 or 3 times a day and then secured on another server.

convertaholics.com appears to be down as well. My browsers refuse to load the homepage. Anyone else having problems with it? I have no idea whether it has been hacked or is just suffering technical problems though.

If you can access the search page then it looks like the forum database is ok. It looks like an old exploit (the phpbb forum is copyright 2005), the problem/advantage of phpbb is that it\'s open source, security bugs are usually caught early but it also means that hackers have access to the bugs too. Phpbb patching needs to be done very often, all phpbb admins should be on the phpbb mailing list.

Hi again my friends (Seth,Sebastian....etc)

We have discovered an alternative form to watch the forum....we can use for the moment the provisional st forum but we can entry in the other one by this method.


\"hackers\" only eliminate the index page...........lol idiots....
