Great work, its begining to look stock! You have to explain wher the use of " grooming products" came in?

I have posted some pics of two alternate hair styles, sadly could noy sculpt a braid, let me know what you think?

how to sculpt a braid....roll green stuff until its wire thin and the required length, allow to almost set then plat. In the immortal words of Lord Melchet from Blackadder the 3rd, "we have to have some secrets darling"

Hi Cassar

When sculpting flat planes of armor which do you think is best Green Stuff or Milliput? I am planning on using the leftover legs from the marine and combine this with the torso from the Lord of skulls to make a chaos space marine, i will need to sculpt some chaotic details and armor, banding similar to those on the lord of skulls torso, on the legs and wanted some advice on which to use?

thanks

Simon

Milliputt every time, you get a smoother surface than green stuff. Rumour control would states that you can mix the two..but that's just crazy talk. by the way I finished the legs.

In the mean time here's the tools you need to do this job.

please note the hose leading to the vacuum cleaner use one or die horribly from Victorian type diseases such as TB or consumption etc.

No worries just hope it comes together for ya, in fact the socket joint might be slightly off on yours as its moulded to my models upper torso and I did slight adjustments to get the heavy bolter pose right, shouldn't be to dramatic tho will stick some milliput in with the legs just in case you need to adjust it.

Can and do. Gets rid of the chalkiness of milliput, while allowing you to sand the mix still (try sanding pure GS lol)

I prefer Brown stuff as it gives the best of both Green Stuff and Milliput. It's smooth like Green stuff but can still easily be sanded, cut, drilled etc... When it comes to sculpting hair i find some tattoo needles come in very handy. It's about the thinnest metal I can find yet still firm enough to put a bit of pressure on.

Love you work.

Cheers,

Gino(2dope)

Ok here's the finished product, apologies for the delay but I accidently sand off a rivet and had to re do it.

Turned out ok even if I do say so myself.
