Nope I was 21 when Episode IV came out.........and it heralded a new era in special effects and SF movies.
(also spawned some dross too.)
Think I saw it five times at the movies that year.

The so called star wars films of the prequels, where not just ruined by Him Who Shall Not Be Named. They did not feel like star wars, had crappy dialogue and the actors, most who where poorly cast coughHaydenChristensencough, clearly did not have any fun.
And the 3 films looked fake. Too much cgi crap.

I was sadly not born yet, but when they came out again in 97, although in an inferior format, I saw A new hope 5 times in 2 weeks
