We\'ve got the 18th (for distributor dispatch) as the release date too... we\'ll get the games on the 19th. Looks good, I hope it does well...

Agreed they do look good looking at the sets on the web but I can\'t help thinking that those arachnids don\'t half look fragile for gamimg pieces.

Hi there, new to these boards.

Just wondering if the site proprietors would be adding Mongoose under the manufacturer lists for submissions?

Thanks!

Nanite welcome to the forums, I cannot answer your question. As to the game I think that it looks very good but I will wait to see it in the flesh before I take the plunge and buy the game.
I am interested to see what the various members of Cmon make of the minis though.

Thanks for the welome!

I\'m painting up the MI now, and I too was anxious to see what others had done.

I started with Armory black primer, then a powder blue for the under-armor bits. It reminded me of a sci-fi trooper that I\'d seen before, but I can\'t place it.

Light blue with black armor and highlights, does that ring any bells?

It looks from the box-tops to be based on the movie, which I think sucked compared to the book.
Unless the arachnids have artillery or the skinnies get involved I\'m not interested.
Now if anyone is interested in playing the old AH \"Robert Heinlein\'s: Starship Troopers\" give me a call.

Bugs do indeed have artillery, and there are a few skinnies out now, with some very leathal weapons. The full skinnie army will be out late this year/early next.

I\'ve found lots of variety in the game, and while it does use some of the movie\'s art and concepts, it has taken more from the limited-run cartoon series and the book.

Are the mobile infantry\'s soldiers faces painted on, or do they actually come with seperate plastic face sheilds? Either way, looks cool! :p

Separate plalastic faceplates.

Although they are molded in clear yellow plastic, which which will clash with a lot of color schemes.
