that is the most ambitious conversion I have ever heard of :) I would recommend starting small with one model only, doing the best job you can. Get source material and learn to sculpt!

First of all who do you recommend I start with? And I have already bought the art books but there not here yet so when they arrive I’ll stop asking people about who I should proceed

Sorry I meant to post here, but accidentally started a new topic!

Sounds like a characterful bunch of converting to be sure. I\'d definitely start working on a test model to get your color palette working the way you want it. As far as converting, those roman looking helms from the covers of the novels themselves are pretty sweet. I\'d embellish the armor itself with some extra plating as you\'re looking to create essentially a bunch of veterans and company champions. There are some interesting torsos on the Black Templar upgrade sprue that might help with the power armor upgrades. For horus himself, you\'ll need to heighten a plastic terminator so he\'s about a head taller than the others. The source material from the art books should help significantly, simply clean it up without the shrunken heads and chaos symbols. Check out the old Adrian Smith drawing for inspiration. Best of luck!

It\'s all a matter of which one you want to start with....
Check the artbooks out for armour patterns...
Some useful things to get would be plastic rod and tubes in small sizes as well as some larger tubes..
Rather than diving in and trying to do all the details and tricky bits get a pad and pencil and start breaking the armour down into individual shapes. This will give you a clearer image of the pieces you need. You can then try and match this in comonents or use plastic etc to scratch build.
Plastic rod is massively useful for all the rivets etc you will need on the armour..
Also what are like with Greenstuff ?? If your not so good now you will e by the end of it..

Always remember as well don\'t try and get every detail you see in the artwork onto the model some things just won\'t fit and the most important part of any character is the face it really makes clear who the model is.....

good luck

Thanks for the advice on drawing the model out into individually parts iv been trying to draw it out how it would look when complete but to no success. With the face il have more to go on when the books arrive I suppose for Horus anyway I doubt the other’s will be in there apart from abadon
