Of course, just before I took this picture, my mother broke him by knocking him on the kitchen floor. I was so glad that this thing was finally destroyed, it was absolutely no work to paint :flame:
Weeeeell, I touched all the broken pieces up (again...), glued the head back on and finally could take that photo. So, here he is, and uploaded by my mother because I had stuff to do with my grandparents - she actually managed it without screwing anything up

Nice paintjob, but I think the skin needs more highlighting. It looks like you\'ve put on a black basecoat, immediately followed by a layer of dark green...

The monitor I am using right now seems awfully dark, and I cannot see any of the front part of the little guy.

I\'ll check it out later on a different pc....

Thanks Corvus. I don\'t know about this \"more highlighting\"-thing, I would but then again I fear that I would be too much to add even lighter layers. It\'s somewhat of a mental block The whole mini was actually primed white. My deepest shade is \"Yellow Olive\" - I definitely did not expect this colour judging from the name when I bought the paint By the way, I love your Drune Archers. I look at mine and I already get a headache But next up is my Drune Persecutor, he is already sitting on the bottlecap - a certain Skorize Warrior begged for me to finish him first

Supervike, I\'ll take you by your word, but also consider the fact that the Fiend\'s front is in fact extremely dark - maybe it\'s not your monitor after all?

I suggest you try something new with your drune persecutors. Maybe a new recipe for the skin or hair. Keep on experimenting and practicing until you have found a recipe and technique that you like.

Since I\'m sort of allergic to any red/green colour combis I can\'t say that I\'m overly excited about this. (But it\'s not about me, so whatever.)
All in all the paint job\'s better than your orc, you just have to try and take more time to paint cleaner. The metallic parts, especially the Schnörkel on the shoulderplate and the bracelets would benefit from a steady hand and crisp edges.

Well, since you are starving...

I think I know what you mean about not wanting to do more highlights. I think what you mean is that you want the final color to be the hue that it is now, and if you add more highlights then the final color will not be what you want.

Is that the case?

Anyway, I have to agree with Corvus. The skin would really look great with more highlights. I found that with practice and playing with colors, you can actually keep the hue that you are going for while highlighting the raised parts (which would get more light). This means that you have to start the base coat darker and be careful about the colors you use for highlights (adding white is not always the best solution).

Keep up the painting! If you keep posting and taking the comments here seriously, you will do nothing but improve quickly (I went from a 4.8 to a 7.6 in a year because of the people on this site!)
