Static grass -what brand to use howto get it standing?

Hello ladys and gentleman, heres my first post.
I have been watching this site a long time and its about time to join in

My questions are:
1. I`m going for a fresh summerly look for the bases of my Highelfs. I want to use small marble slates and static grass. Could you recomend something? Is the one from GW ok. or are there better alternatives?

2. How do I get the grass standing? I know there are things like the grassmaster, but I dont want to spent 100+ to just to do some bases.

Static grass works like it says on the tin

Put your glue down, cover in static grass

Shake/tap/blow off excess

Rub a balloon or something to generate static

Hold close to the grass and watch it stand up

Glue it down, and blow on it from the side before the glue dries.

I use old fashion static and after dropping it onto the glue hold base upsaide down next to TV, loads of static.. dont forget to wipe loose grass off the TV... lol

I was thinking hard where i could find something static in my flat, but didn`t find a thing. The TV idea is genius!

The Silflor stuff is great!! Not only is it convenient, it looks great too! Antenociti\'s Workshop sell them this side of the pond.

Back to the op. I\'ve used a Noch squeeze applicator. Fill about half full of static grass (less for mini bases). Spread glue on base. Shake huffer. Huff out static grass on bases.

I like the idea of the balloon.

silflor grass tufts are so quick it\'s crazy

and as for static grass, if you keep it in a plastic tub all you need to do is give it a quick shake (with the lid on!) and it cuts out the need for messing with balloons and putting the minis near a tv or tube based monitor.

The silfor stuff is really really cool.. seems pricy but it isn\'t bad really ..

Anders I hope you have a sponsorship deal going with antenocitis........That has to be the 5th recommendation from you in as many weeks...lol
