Static grass

I have some static grass that you have to cut to length and dip in glue then attach to your base. Will a strong wind blow it off of the base or will it stay put pretty well?

Also is there any easier static grass out there like GW or equivelent?

I think there are lots of easier ways, just buy some readymade flocking! Woodlandscenics for example.

Let me elaborate a little more I was going for a taller field frass kinda look not really a manicured lawn look. I use ballast mostly on my bases guess I need to buy more basing material really.

Use the field grass (cut to length) with static grass around the edges to form more natural clumps.

or you can just by siflor tufts.

the field grass you have is great for scenic plinths but not gaming bases, it's down to what you need.

That depends on what glue you use.
A drop of superglue on the base then you cut the static grass to the length you want. Set it in the drop of glue and wait a couple of seconds.

Then trim one side up very even before setting it into the drop of glue.

You can mix two or 3 colors in various amounts to make it more natural as well. One or two yellow brown strands in with the nice green clump and a few dark green ones.

try cutting it before you glue it in place, for a clump roll it in between your fingers and then cut (glue the cut side of the clump as it's flat) the rolling action means you get a more natural looking clump.

So get some static grass then put this grass in the center of that is that what you guys are saying.

I rolled it and cut it less than 1/2 inch with it being uneven lengths and glued it down so i take it i did it correctly.

yeh man, take a look at real clumps of grass and you will start to understand fully what i said.
make the larger center clump fisrst and then add the shorter lengths of static grass around the edges.
