Step 3: Profit?

I haven\'t touched my warhammer minis in quite a while. I\'ve finally decided to sell of most of them, and the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to paint them up to a nice quality for profit, rather than loss.

It seems like it would be a fun way to make money on the side, hell, it could even fund a few armies. I knew another 40k player who payed for his minis by painting one, selling it, and buying two more, keeping one and repeating the process.

What can you tell me about painting and converting for profit? I\'ve already got about 5 projects kicking around in my head just thinking about Warhammer again.

Stick to the fluff as much as possible... also pick popular items for sale to increase the chances of a bidding war for one of your items.

Being damn good is another way to make a profit from mini painting I gather! Unfortunately im not at that level yet, so those are just from talking to others.

Some items sell at a better profit unpainted unfortunately.
Look out for fees on the sale, like eBay and paypal, they can take up to 30 percent both combined from your profit

Wow, I was under the impression such fees were negligible. Care to go into more detail?
