Stepping up my painting, first attempt at shading and highlighting.

So, I decided that I want to step up my painting after seeing so many beautiful models at TempleCon 2012. I figured this was a good time since I am just getting into Dark Age, and it has a decently low model count, so I won't feel over whelmed with dozens of models to paint. And since I am playing the Dragyri most of the models are larger and center piece so I feel taking the time to make them look good is well spent.

So, back to the model, I started on the cloak since it had lots of nice ripples that would let me explore the shading and highlights. I am using reaper master series, since by chance I was given the complete line. I like the triad system since I don't have to guess what is the highlight or shade, and I don't that to fiddle with mixing white and black to get the colors I want.

Might check the file size. Not sure that it matters, but you shouldn't try to upload anything too big.

I have shrunk the file down to 60Kb, that is pretty small. Every time I upload from my computer it goes to the end and then I get a error message

"404[IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text='Error #2038']"

Or imgur even (used by a lot of people to post on Reddit). It's ridiculously easy to use, but I assume the pics are only hosted for a limited time.

Actually, I was trying to upload directly from my computer...that failed.
I tried to put them on dropbox and use the ULR...that failed.
I will now try photobucket. Ah success

Could be just the browser that's giving trouble. Try 'm all; Firefox, Chrome, even IE if need be...
